THE FIRST STEPS OF FALCAO

Garcia Radamel Falcao plays a striker for Atlético Madrid. He was born on February 10, 1986 in a Colombian town Santa Marta.

His career started in 1996 in a football academy of Millonarios. He had spent 3 years there before he received a proposition to move to the academy of Lanceros Boyacà. Falcao spent there 2 years before he made a huge step towards success. The year 2001 was remarkable for Radamel who joined the academy of River Plate where he stayed until the end of his youth career.

When Falcao finished his study at the football academy in 2005 he was offered a place in the first team of River Plate. Radamel agreed penning the first official contract in his life. During all the time that he spent in the Argentine squad he appeared on the pitch often enough taking part in many important games for the club.
